On The Road To . . . .

Okay. These types of Christians, and by no means do I mean ALL Christians, are what piqued my critical thinking about Christianity. I grew up Catholic and was even an alter server (it means I got to play the xylaphone thingy when ppl were taking the bread). My last time ever associating with the church was when I was 11.

You see, I was really sick and sitting beside the priest as someone was reading a verse. I whispered to the priest that I had to go to the bathroom because I was feeling ill. He told me to wait until the service was over.  Well I couldn’t do that. I jumped up and ran to the bathroom, puking red all over the white gown I was wearing. I went home and never went back.

Since then I have thought about faith and spirituality about 100x over. For myself, I cannot believe in a religion based upon the word of men (as we all know words can be cheap and untrue). My thinking is that any religion that does not both give voice and respect to all sexes and genders, is not a religion that I can believe in.Not to mention other logical fallacies I BELIEVE the bible carries.

HOWEVER

It is your responsibility and DUTY to not judge or condemn (or fucking PRAY for innocent ppl to die) others who do not believe the same as you.

And ultimately, whether you are a religious person, an atheist, a spiritual person, or whatever, it all comes down to belief. Knowledge is never certain. There can always be perspectives we have not thought of or have “seen” before (eg, afterlife experiences).

OMG this is the scariest saddest thing i’ve seen in a long time. wow I am speechless. I am sad for her. scared for her. wtf
